This item would be carried by the steamer "Aurus" of the annexed French line K to Rio de Janeiro / Brazil, where taken by a ship under the Brazil - US arrangement, for which newspaper this 4cts was due. A fantastic rarity. The only case of this rate usage we´ve seen, being on top in the inter South American - USA area. Probably a unique item.	£1.400

Extraordinary early complete letter circulated by post showing the complete route, which was so unreliable. This item would have travelled to Chile onwards to destination - the España pmk is from Bs As, and the Chile mark on reverse denotes transit - either by using the wrong route to the Pacific first, or by the Northern / Middle Continental transit. In any case , an extraordinary XVIII doble continental + South transatlantic crossing.	£375
